The seperation of Marina and Ulay got world famous. Getting permission for the walk by Chinese government took them years. As told in the video, initially they were supposed to marry after taking the long walk. But with time, the permission from authorities got delayed, and their relationship took a U-turn. As they got all verification cleared by the Chinese authority, they took the journey same way planned, but parted away by the end. The 3 month long journey was a historic love-move, and remains in the hearts of their fans forever.
